The pilot boards are on the bench and validating now (build log). The production batch is built to order, so preorders are what size it. No cell plan, no subscription required: photos ride your own radio mesh.

You add: a microSD card (over 32 GB? reformat it FAT32 first — big cards ship exFAT and the camera can't read that) and the enclosure (we publish the build guide before kits ship). Needs a gateway to reach the internet: the gateway or starter kit below, or run the open-source gateway yourself on any computer with an SX1262 module (guide included) — the tinkerer path needs nothing else.

The no-tinkering path for a first property: one camera, one gateway, done. Less than buying the pieces separately, and you can add camera kits to the mesh any time.

The piece that connects your camera mesh to the internet — every property needs exactly one, and it pairs with any number of camera kits. Tinkerers can skip it and run the open-source gateway on any computer with an SX1262 module.

Kits ship in the US for now, and include the battery. Canada: we are not taking Canadian orders until the hardware is certified in Canada, so use the notify box on any kit above and we will email you when it opens. FCC equipment authorization is in progress; see the notice above. No enclosure ships (we publish the build guide before kits ship). Firmware, device API, and the web app are open source: self-hosting is free forever and nothing you buy depends on us staying in business. Questions: the FAQ or hello@getmeshcam.com.
